MODERN MEDIA AND THE WORKPLACE

Lucas is an academic researcher in sociology and law for Leclair and Associates P.C. with a Master of Arts in sociology from Western University. Mainstream social media has evolved from being a mechanism that provides us the ability to keep-in-touch, to the rapid development of apps such as Facebook’s Workplace. These can be integrated in an effort to maximize efficiency. As a result, many legal and human resource questions have risen about the mandated use of third-party software in the workplace. Lucas will highlight some of the pitfalls that employers must consider when choosing to engage with these third-party applications.
